Sin Thau celebrates the traditional Tet of the Ha Nhi ethnic group

On December 12, Sin Thau commune organized the traditional Tet of the Ha Nhi ethnic group in 2025 with a series of rich cultural and sports exchange activities.
The program was attended by representatives of provincial departments, branches and branches; leaders of communes of Dien Bien province and Lai Chau province; former leaders of Muong Te district, Muong Nhe district and a large number of tourists inside and outside the province.
In particular, the presence of the delegation of the Party Committee, government and people of Khuc Thuy town (Jiangcheng district, Yunnan province, China) has created an atmosphere of solidarity and connection between the two localities sharing the same Ha Nhi culture.
The festival opened with a sports exchange program between the delegation of Khuc town. Thuy and home team Sin Thau. Air volleyball matches and pickleball competitions bring the bustling rhythm of the festival, creating opportunities for delegates, tourists and people on both sides of the border to immerse themselves in the spirit of friendship and attachment.
At the same time, the traditional culinary contest of Sin Thau commune takes place enthusiastically with the participation of 21 teams from 21 villages in the commune. The dishes are meticulously prepared, demonstrating the sophistication of Ha Nhi culinary culture through ingredients familiar to the border mountains and forests. This is an opportunity to honor indigenous culinary values, while introducing to visitors the characteristics of the Tet feast of the Ha Nhi people.
The highlight of the festival is the cultural and artistic exchange program at the headquarters of Sin Thau commune. With 14 singing and dancing performances by both host Sin Thau and guests from Khuc Thuy town, Ha Nhi cultural space is vividly recreated through the sound of flute, dance, and bright spring costumes. Each performance is like a cultural piece that brings viewers back to the Tet holiday rhythm of the people in the westernmost part of the country.
In his opening speech, Chairman of Sin Thau Commune People's Committee Nguyen Van Thang emphasized: The songs and dances in the program are "messengers" connecting friendship, transporting the thoughts and aspirations of the people of the two localities. This is a meaningful activity to preserve and spread Ha Nhi cultural identity, while strengthening the understanding and attachment between Sin Thau commune and Khuc Thuy town.
In the brilliant art space, delegates, people and tourists can enjoy lyrical folk songs, graceful dance performances and even modern songs blended with traditional timbre, creating a vibrant multi-vocal cultural picture.
The program ends with The image of the circle spreads widely, as an affirmation of the strong solidarity and friendship between Sin Thau commune (Vietnam) and Khuc Thuy town (China), opening up a meaningful and culturally rich Ha Nhi Tet season at the westernmost border.
