After 3 exciting days, the 9th Throwing Balls Festival of Vietnam - Laos - China in 2025, hosted by Dien Bien province, ended with great success.  

At the Closing Ceremony, a special art program with the theme "Enlightening Faith" took place, including 2 chapters: "Converging Colors - Toward the Future" and "Essence of Vietnamese Culture" - Laos - China, cooperation and development". The Organizing Committee also awarded 34 sets of medals for 34 competition events in 6 sports, including: Con tossing, tug of war, con lu, crossbow shooting, pickleball and stick pushing. The first prize for the entire delegation belonged to Dien Bien province, with a record of 18 gold medals, 13 silver medals and 2 bronze medals. Second prize for the entire team went to Lai Chau province. The third prizes were Phong-Sa-Li province (Laos) and Giang Thanh district (China).

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Mr. Tran Hai Ha - Acting Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee said that the 9th Vietnam - Laos - China Three-Country Throwing Festival is a typical cultural and foreign affairs event in the border area, tightening traditional solidarity and friendship, enhancing understanding and trust. and cooperation and exchange between the people of the three countries. The festival has honored the unique cultural values and traditions of ethnic minorities in the border areas, contributing to building a border of peace, stability, friendship, cooperation and sustainable development.

The 9th Throwing Back Festival of Vietnam - Laos - China with the theme "Solidarity, friendship - Loving the border - Developing together" was held from December 19 - 21, 2025 with Cultural, sports, tourism and exchange activities were organized thoughtfully, solemnly, safely, receiving the companionship, response, encouragement and wholehearted participation of the people and tourists.

At the closing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Minh Phu - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dien Bien province handed over the hosting flag to Mr. Ho Hung Hoa - Secretary of the Giang Thanh District Party Committee, Pu Nhi city, Yunnan province (China) - the organizer of the Festival throw down 3 countries Vietnam - Laos - China for the 10th time.
