Hoa Ban Festival 2026: Organize scoring spaces for displaying traditional culture in communes and wards
03/03/2026

Within the framework of the 2026 Hoa Ban Festival, the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion of Dien Bien province will organize scoring and awarding activities for the display space and introduction of traditional culture of the communes and wards participating in the event.
This is one of the outstanding activities in the series of events displaying and promoting cultural products, tourism and cultural experience spaces at this year's Hoa Ban Festival. The activity aims to honor the unique traditional cultural beauties of ethnic groups in the province, while encouraging localities to make efforts to preserve and promote heritage values.
Rich display space, rich in identity
Participating communes and wards will build display spaces to introduce typical traditional cultural values of their localities. Display content includes specialties, agricultural products, OCOP products, traditional handicraft products along with information about destinations and attractive tours.
The highlight of the activity is the demonstration of typical traditional crafts such as brocade weaving, Mong flute making, Mong ethnic knife forging, Chinese embroidered shoe making, rattan and bamboo weaving and national costume making. Tourists and people have the opportunity to directly visit, experience and take souvenir photos at the display booths.
Objective and transparent scoring
The Provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion has issued a Scoring Regulation with clear criteria. The evaluation is carried out according to the principles of objectivity, openness and transparency. Each participating commune and ward needs to appoint one person to directly explain and introduce at the exhibition space. The narrator must be someone living, working or studying in the area, to ensure cohesion and a deep understanding of local culture. The jury will evaluate based on factors such as display content, creativity in layout, product diversity, quality of traditional craft demonstrations and the presentation ability of representatives of the units. Communes and wards with excellent achievements will be awarded First, Second, and Third prizes along with Certificates and bonuses.
Contribute to promoting Dien Bien tourism
The scoring activity of traditional cultural display space not only creates a vibrant competitive atmosphere between localities but is also an opportunity to promote the tourism potential and strengths of Dien Bien province to a large number of domestic and foreign tourists. Thereby, contributing to calling for investment in the tourism sector and promoting local socio-economic development.
The 2026 Hoa Ban Festival promises to bring visitors unique cultural experiences and unforgettable impressions of the land and people of Dien Bien.
